When: Monday 10th July 2017

Time:  8am – 3pm

Where: Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee DD1 9SY

ScotGEM will be a unique and innovative 4-year graduate entry medical programme tailored to meet the contemporary and future needs of the NHS in Scotland. The course will capitalise on the existing strengths of medical teaching in the Universities of Dundee and St Andrews and our local health boards in Fife and Tayside.

In addition, our collaboration with NHS Highland, NHS Dumfries and Galloway and University of the Highlands and Islands will enable us to develop a programme that is truly distinctive for those interested in a career as a generalist practitioner (not necessarily a GP), and that offers extended opportunities to train in remote and rural areas. The ScotGEM programme will be tailored to the specific needs of graduates, taking account of the experience acquired during their initial degree.

ScotGEM expects to matriculate its first student cohort in September 2018 and will soon be open for applications. This programme is only open to Graduate students.

The University of Dundee invites you to attend their Open Day to find out more about Admissions, Course Content and Funding. You will also have the opportunity to tour Dundee Medical School (including Clinical Skills), view our accommodation on the main campus, meet current students and speak to our academic staff.

If you would like to attend, please register via http://uod.ac.uk/scotgem-openday. More information on provisional admissions requirements, open days and the course can be found on the website: http://medicine.st-andrews.ac.uk/graduate-entry-medicine/
