Study in China with Schwarzman Scholars

Spend 11 months studying for a Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing! Schwarzman Scholars is a fully-funded year of leadership development and education. You will study for a Master’s Degree in Global Affairs, with emphasis in either Public Policy or Business International Studies, and you will live with other scholars on the Schwarzman college campus.

Anchored in an innovative 11-month professional Master’s Degree in Global Affairs at Beijing’s prestigious Tsinghua University, the Schwarzman Scholars experience includes unparalleled learning opportunities in and outside the classroom through extensive leadership training, a network of high-level mentors, practical training/internship opportunities, and travel seminars around China.

Schwarzman Scholars is seeking high-calibre men and women who will represent the world’s next generation of leaders. The programme is open to students and young professionals up to 28 years of age of any citizenship who are proficient in English and have obtained an undergraduate degree. For the third cohort, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will begin in Beijing in August 2018 at the state-of-the-art Schwarzman College.

The Schwarzman Scholars application process is open to candidates from any country and any academic field.  Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age, and must be within one year of completing their undergraduate degree (or already have an undergraduate degree) at the time of application. English proficiency is required.  All eligibility details are available online.

Students selected to become Schwarzman Scholars will receive a comprehensive scholarship. It will include:

  • Tuition Fees
  • Room and board
  • Travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year
  • An in-country study tour
  • Required course books and supplies
  • Lenovo laptop and smartphone
  • Health insurance
  • A personal stipend of $3,500 USD

The deadline for applying is 28 September 2017 for all applicants except those who hold passports from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.  If you hold a passport from China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan the deadline is 31 May 2017.
