FDM have two exciting roles within our graduate programme coming up over the next couple of months: Production Support Analyst (start date 22nd May) and Business Training Developer (start date 5th June). We have a few places left on each of these start dates and are looking for students who have completed all of their studies and are looking to start a graduate role almost immediately. Even if you haven’t graduated yet we can get you started and would obviously give you your graduation date off so you can enjoy the celebrations!

Business Intelligence Developer – Starting in Glasgow 5th June 2017

Business Intelligence Developers cover a varied range of roles and responsibilities such as capturing user requirements, generating visualisation design, unifying data sources, developing performance management dashboards and supporting existing applications. As a Business Intelligence Developer you will liaise with end users to fix defects, investigate the feasibility of change requests and add the functionality to applications by designing and implementing solutions. To achieve a successful outcome you will work closely with the business to understand how it operates, as well as identifying areas to target in order to drive business improvement through developing analytics.

The other available role is:

Production Support Analyst – Starting in Glasgow 22nd May 2017

As a Production Support Analyst, you will be involved with a blend of programming and administration. You will work with various stakeholders to deal with technical problems by analysing, diagnosing, and then either solving or referring the problem. The role incorporates a balance of technical and excellent soft skills, business knowledge as well as troubleshooting expertise.

Production support is a great fit for avid problem solvers. Work environments can range from front office first line roles to technical third line areas. The trade floor is a common setting for many Production Support Analyst roles as they are often based in fast-paced and dynamic work environments.

Following your training at FDM you will develop analytics applications that deliver immediate value back to the business that are robust, scalable and maintainable. This role is ideal for analytical problem solvers with a passion for technology and business.

  • Educated to degree level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive problem solver
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Proven ability to work pressure within a fast-paced environment
  • Geographic flexibility throughout the UK

We welcome graduates from a variety of degrees – you don’t have to study IT to work in IT.
