Student Events Intern (on campus)


Main purpose of role:

To assist the Student Events Team with the delivery of International Welcome Week and Freshers’ Week in September 2017.

Overview of role:

The Student Events Team is responsible for facilitating a programme of social and cultural events to supplement The University’s September induction agenda. This includes International Welcome Week and Freshers’ Week.

The Student Events Intern will support the Student Events Team by:

  • Conducting research and administration for event planning
  • Contributing event ideas at the planning stages
  • Assisting with venue booking, acquiring events supplies and catering requirements
  • Promoting events through various communications channels
  • Responding to calls and emails regarding events
  • Providing hands-on support at events
  • Helping out with other office/administration tasks as required

The expected start date for the role is July 2017 – the exact date is still to be determined.
