Jaguar Landrover Developer Challenge – deadline to apply is TODAY!

13/07/2016

The Challenge:

Cars are now a part of the Internet of Things like any other connected device. Instead of thinking of them as purely mechanical objects that just get us from A to B, we should think about how they can be a part of our connected lives and the wider ecosystem of technology.

Your solution:

How can we use this Connected Future to have a positive impact on people’s lives inside and outside the car? Judging criteria – All projects will be judged against a combination of value creation, innovation, technical implementation, user experience, market potential, integration opportunity and presentation quality.
We are looking for a cross functional selection of participants: whether you’re a developer, designer, UX, creative, business person or you just want to get involved in shaping the future of the automotive industry.

  • There is now an overall prize fund of £10, 000 (1st: £2000, 2nd: £1000), plus lots of Jaguar Land Rover Merchandise.
  • If students need access to specific machinery or technology for their idea, then Jaguar Land Rover are also happy to discuss this.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity to work with not only Jaguar Land Rover, but also many of the top designers, hackers, UX and creative specialists in the country.
  • Jaguar Land Rover will look at covering travel expenses (case by case basis) for those coming from further away.
Confirmation of participants will take place by 15 July 2016. More information is available from: https://www.jlrdevchallenge.com/
