Job description

We have developed a graduate programme specifically aimed at individuals seeking to pursue a career in the technology sector. By joining our programme, you will receive structured training and professional development, with significant responsibility from day one, great benefits and a fantastic company culture. The duration of our graduate programme is two years. During this time, you will gain experience in various areas of our technology operations:

16 months in Software Development and Design. During this time, you will work on a wide variety of development projects, working on our award winning HRevolution and Dayforce HR and payroll software solutions, including new product releases and customer specific configuration projects. Our solutions are web-based, and can be accessed via web browser or mobile – you’ll therefore get exposure to a wide variety of technologies including .NET, C#, SQL, iOS, and Android.

Electives in 2 of the following areas, lasting 4 months each:

Software Testing. In this elective, you will gain exposure to manual and automated testing of our software solutions before release to customers – this will involve analysing our product releases, writing test scripts, executing test scripts and reporting on progress.

Applications Support. This elective will focus on resolving complex customer issues or queries with regards to our software solutions. You will gain wide exposure to our business and customers, dealing with functions throughout the company as you perform root cause analysis and develop solutions to our customers’ issues or queries.

Technical Support. In this elective, you will provide first line technical support to customer using our software solutions. Working in this team will give you a thorough understanding of our solutions and the manner in which our customers utilise them.

Site Description

Our Glasgow location, based at Braehead, is truly state-of-the-art (the office even has a branch of Costa Coffee!), and has very active sports and social / “fun at work” teams who organise a wide variety of events each year. In addition, we have our own charity at Ceridian, the Payback Foundation, which raises money for disadvantaged and disabled children in the vicinities of our UK and Ireland offices.
Glasgow is our flagship location in the UK, and has grown from 80 to 300 colleagues in recent years. Much of our investment and growth in the UK is focused on our Glasgow location.

Person requirements
