The PhD Journey is a conference where you can learn all you need to know about doing a PhD. If you are asking yourself….Why should I do a PhD? How will I manage my research? How do I present my research? What will I expect after a PhD? Then register now!

The PhD Journey aims at encouraging prospective and current PhD students to be fully prepared for the journey towards achieving their PhD and their future career; highlighting professional and personal development with guidance from academics, industrial leaders and current postgraduate researchers.

The conference is open to all PhD students and prospective students in Scotland. It is an exciting event organised by students for students to prepare you for your PhD research. The conference includes talks and workshops led by researchers across all disciplines, focussed on important skills such as communication in all its forms, networking and conference etiquette and the different career paths that a PhD can lead to. The conference will be an opportunity for students to meet and discuss issues that affect them, voice concerns about the journey ahead of them, and have questions answered by those who are currently experiencing different stages in their PhD Journey.
