New Part-time Positions with SIE


The Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) works with all 19 ofScotland’s Higher Education Institutions supporting the development of entrepreneurial individuals.

They engage the student community in enterprise events and activities, and provide them with learning and development opportunities. They also work with partner institutions to advise and support the development of enterprise education and through their Regional Business Advisors, help students create real, sustainable businesses.


Regional Intern Co-ordinator (p/t)

(3 positions)

Salary: £17,000 p.a. pro rata

(pro rata amount = £10,200 approx.)



As part of their continued growth in driving forward Scotland’s enterprise agenda, the Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) requires three Regional Intern Co-ordinators to join the team in this exciting project which is currently funded until July 2013.

 One of the positions will be based in Aberdeen supporting the interns based in the North/North East of Scotland; the remaining two positions will cover the areas of Glasgow/West and Edinburgh/East. The successful applicants will be responsible for line managing the interns and ambassadors based at each university (or equivalent) within the allocated areas, supporting the promotion of SIE and its events and liaising effectively with relevant university contacts/stakeholders/societies. Knowledge and/or experience of the higher education sector is essential as is having genuine enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and SIE’s goal of increasing the uptake of entrepreneurial activity and education amongst the student population in Scotland’s HEIs.

Applicants should be educated to degree level and have significant, relevant experience as well as having excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
