Entrepreneurial Training Programme – SIE’s Bootcamp 11

This summer, why not take the first steps to starting your own business?

You are invited to apply for a place on SIE’s Bootcamp 11, an intensive entrepreneurial training programme that gives you the unique opportunity to take your idea for a new venture from concept to creation in a summer. Whether you want to start-up your own successful business or social enterprise, Bootcamp 11 will accelerate your learning and will equip you with all the skills, knowledge, experience and networks you need to get your idea off the ground.

The Programme runs over three stages in the summer:

1. Days 1 to 3: Wednesday 29th June – Friday 1st July OR Monday 4th July – Wednesday 6th

An intensive, 3 day residential training course at the University of Stirling. With a range of interactive activities and experiential learning challenges, you’ll acquire and develop the necessary knowledge and skills needed to launch and manage your venture. After the residential course you’ll be invited to attend two follow up days to learn new skills and share your progress. These days are optional but we highly recommend you make every effort to attend them to get the full Bootcamp experience.

2. Bootcamp Follow up Day 1: Thursday 28th July

Incorporating & resourcing your business.

3. Bootcamp Follow up Day 2: Thursday 25th August Winning Pitches.

Between the end of Day 3 and the follow up days you’ll have time to develop your venture with support and guidance from SIE, the programme facilitators and experts in entrepreneurship. This time is unstructured by SIE, so you could still have a summer job, or work on your dissertation, but also make a positive move toward turning your idea into a reality.

At Bootcamp 11 you’ll be given the unrivalled opportunity to work with thought-leaders in the Scottish business community, meet like-minded students who can help your idea get started, and put you in front of investors to pitch your idea.

To apply for a place on Bootcamp, all you need to do is answer a few simple questions online: Please note that the deadline for receipt of applications is 9am, Thursday 12th May.
