Gap Year Programme – British International School, Kuala Lumpur



 Every year the British Schools Group hosts Gap Year students from the UK to serve as Teacher Assistants. The programme has been extremely popular with parents, staff and the Gap Year students themselves and they are keen to continue the programme in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


Support qualified British teachers to deliver core curriculum (literacy and numeracy) and other programs such as P.E. (including swimming), art, computers and music.


The school provides education for children aged 2 to 10. Students are drawn from the expatriate and local communities.

The school is one with clear aims, a structured curriculum (English National Curriculum) and high academic standards. The rigors of classroom work are combined with a welcoming and friendly learning environment. Children are encouraged to do their best at whatever they attempt, and to achieve their full potential in all areas. Successful applicants will receive the following:
